Account Executive

RemoteFull-time$85,000 to $110,000 a year

Overview

The Kenswick Partners publishes a journal of straight answers on work, money, and careers, written for people weighing their next move. The Account Executive brings new partner companies to the journal: the agencies, firms, and industry leaders who contribute to the desk or welcome introductions to our readers.

Professionals who have carried a target and built lasting business relationships ramp quickly here. You decide which companies fit the journal, open the conversations yourself, and hand each new partner to the relationship team in good order.

What You'll Do

  • Build a target list each quarter of firms that fit the journal's readers
  • Open conversations with owners and senior leaders by phone, email, and professional networks
  • Present the journal clearly, including how introductions to partners are handled and disclosed
  • Agree partnership terms with the editor and prepare each new partner for launch
  • Bring on industry contributors whose experience gives the journal authority
  • Keep every prospect, contact, and next step current in the CRM
  • Report monthly on conversations opened, partners signed, and what to change

What We're Looking For

  • Four or more years in B2B sales, business development, or account management, with a record of relationships you opened and kept
  • Experience selling to business owners or professional firms is a strong plus
  • Confidence speaking with owners and executives as a peer
  • Clear, persuasive writing that never oversells
  • A self-directed way of working and steady follow-through
  • Comfort with a CRM, spreadsheets, and video calls
  • A home office where you can take calls without interruption, with dependable internet
  • Eligible to work in the United States

What's Offered

  • Full-time work from home
  • Ownership of new partnerships from first call to launch
  • Direct work with the editor on every partnership decision
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • A flexible schedule
